With the 2011 NFL season just around the corner and set to kick off in just over one week; now is the time when all of the 2011 Fantasy Football drafts are either about to be underway, or are coming to a close. So today, we are going to look at some of the top Colts players that should have strong fantasy impacts in 2011. Many Colts players have been known to have some major league Fantasy Football impacts in past years, with Peyton Manning leading the way as a first round pick almost every season. Let’s get into taking a look at some of the top contributors from the Colts roster.

Peyton Manning

He can’t ever be held off of the list when you are talking about top fantasy players. While Manning is consistently a first round pick, you’ll get some value when drafting him this year; as he has been actually been falling to the 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th round in some drafts. The reason for this is only because of his off-season neck surgery which has left his week 1 status in doubt. If you are able to get Manning in one of these rounds, I get the feeling that people will be calling it the steal of the draft by the end of the season. He is a premier quarterback in the NFL, and will remain one for years to come.

Joseph Addai

Addai is an interesting option for Fantasy Football this season. While he has struggled with injuries, he seems to be back at full strength heading into 2011. Addai is a go-to option for Peyton Manning out of the back field, and Manning also trusts him when it comes to protection in the passing game. Addai could be a mid round steal this year, as his average draft position has ranged between the middle of the 6th round, to the 8th round. I expect Addai to have a strong year, and get quite a few receptions out of the backfield also.

Reggie Wayne and Austin Collie

The wide out position for the Colts is strong with Wayne and Collie, and these two should get quite a bit of fantasy action this season. Waynes’ average draft position is in the 2nd round, and he’s likely to lead the team in terms of yards this season. Collie on the other hand is considered a bargain in the 5th round, and is a guy who could very well be at the top of the NFL in terms of yards, touchdowns, and receptions. Both of these guys should have excellent fantasy seasons, and you can’t go wrong with landing either one.

Dallas Clark

I consider Dallas Clark to be one of the best tight ends in both the NFL, and in Fantasy Football as well. Manning trusts Clark, and loves throwing the ball his way. With an average draft position ranging between the 4th and 6th round, you are going to be getting a tight end who will produce like a wide receiver. Clark is sort of flying under the radar after his injury last season, but he’ll be a great tight end for your fantasy team.

Overall, the Colts look poised for a strong year on the offensive end (just like every other year!). While the Colts love to pass the ball, that won’t hurt Joseph Addai nearly as much as some would assume; mainly due to the fact that he is one of the best pass catching running backs in the NFL. Don’t overlook these Colts players during your 2011 Fantasy Football drafts!
